The new album is a direct sequel to All Hail West Texas if that piques your interest.
Also I can personally say that the devastating trauma songs feature heavily at their live shows.

Eh. First they changed, the I did. I still wholeheartedly recommend TMG to people, but I’m in cults for Diane Cluck and Little Mazarn now. New New Sincerity artistic movement let’s go `-`

Ooh, those are going straight into the queue. I don’t think anyone can replace TMG for me but the fact that they did for you I take as extremely strong recommendations.

Well now, I didn’t think anything could shake my fervor for Cloud Cult, but I guess that happened. They changed, then I did. That’s a good way to put it.

Yeah, if anyone has “replaced” TMG, it’s Diane Cluck. She’s my shaman, and while I never used that phrasing with John, TMG got me through some dark, hard times. Diane Cluck is definitely a better overall shaman, though. I’m gonna cook our decorative balcony pumpkin before it can go bad because she suggested it. She nourishes me mind, soul, and body x_x

This is pretty good. It’s not quite pulling me in the way that Oceanographer’s Choice and No Children did though. I’ll keep listening!

Idk what you’re listening to, but Boneset would be the album I’d recommend a TMG fan. It’s by far her darkest, started with two songs about reincarnation
