Morally ahead? maybe if they would have said that they would back the Palestinian people instead of hamas leadership.
Anything is better than outright banning Palestinian protests and killing dissenters (cough cough KSA)
Most middle Eastern countries do not have arms trade with Israel. This places them morally ahead of Turkey.
