I think Tesla floundering so much right in the middle of the EV boom is proof that there is such a thing as bad publicity

I thinks it’s because bad publicity does help a brand get recognition, that’s why the saying goes like that. The thing with telsa is that it already has the recognition so with every other article that comes out exposing yet another flaw with them, ever more people associate the brand with bad quality

I wonder if it would act as pro-Tesla or anti-Tesla to show a list of all the problems with Teslas and their current status.

People shopping for an EV aren’t going to like the idea of steering wheels coming off or trim flying off at highway speeds.

EV or not, people don’t want to buy unsafe vehicles, period. Any brand synonymous with poor quality dies

Ford will take a while to die, they’ve always stockpiled a lot of rainy day cash to weather out bad spells. As you’ve said they had plenty of successful decades and successful cars. They even had successful cars at the same time as the pinto so it wasn’t really a problem

Right. So would it be helpful or harmful to their sales to have a list where one of the items read like:

            “Steering wheel comes off: fixed”
