For me, it’s Shared GPU memory.

That’s only an option if you want to be stuck with Xorg. That’s not really a realistic option in 2024.

  cannot even restart wayland session in gnome. wayland is not a realistic option in 2024.

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
