You can still f it up, mostly by messing with the bootloader (at least in my experience). Also the same can be achieved with stuff like zfs/bttrfs snapshots 🤷 But yeah, nixos rocks.
When I first switched to nix, I made an error copy-pasting my hashed password into a secrets file.
