I still buy games that I know I will have good time playing from watching gameplay of others. Movies and shows, though, I almost exclusively pirate nowadays. Books are kinda 50/50, I buy them from official bookstores when I want to throw some money at the author I like (like Brandon Sanderson, who also earns bonus points for releasing his books DRM-free).
For my people who can’t afford books. Your library probably has tons of books for free. So what if you don’t get to it right away and make a copy for later?
