My cousin doesn’t understand what I mean when I tell him I’m really not a “catch” anymore than an old boot or used tire is a “catch.”
He says I’m “attractive” which is nice to know as I never really thought I was, but there’s way more than just that which is what you “bring to a relationship.”
Video games, gardening, and general science/space nerd isn’t exactly bringing much to a relationship lol add on my lack of education, dead end factory job, general distaste for concerts, the beach, and dogs and I might as well be Hitler lol
Its about how you frame the information. Your framing sounds negative when there is actually quite a lot of positive traits there. Just leave out the dislike of dogs or you’ll get cooked.
The only girl to ever reach out to me on a dating site (that wasn’t a bot) without me starting the conversation only did so to suggest I removed the bit about not wanting to own a dog lol
I just noticed that like 99.999999999999999% of women’s profiles mention dogs, some even start with something about dogs, so I figured I’d just be upfront about it and let them filter me out if it’s that important to them. It really is a “dealbreaker” for me, so I’ve just kind of accepted that I’m going to stay single lol
Back to sympathetic. I’m a sucker for domesticated pets of all kinds. Something amazing about how we’ve evolved together over millenia and having that connection to our history. And they’re fluffy and sometimes cuddly. Wouldn’t be without them.

I was sympathetic until “dogs”. Ok with cats at least? Guinea pigs? Or just any non-human animal is a pass?
I love cats, I have a little monkey of my own! (that’s what I call her lol)
I just can’t stand the barking, begging, lack of personal space, and I’d rather not have the extra responsibilities that come with having a dog.
