Google is working on a number of tweaks and additions to the Android taskbar, including a few tweaks we've seen on third-party skins.

That’s one of them, yep. Another one IIRC is a volume warning when setting it too high

But in fairness to Google, Samsung copied them (and Apple) when they yeeted the headphone jack /s
