      Absolutely. I wasn’t on reddit during the initial days but from what people tell me, it was a similar experience. So the way for us to make the migration successful is to be active at the moment and participate. Rest will follow

      This is my thinking as well. I am trying to be less hesitant with my commenting (and hopefully posting as well) than I was on reddit. I think a few bad experiences there caused me to become more reluctant. Hopefully the fewer users here will mean less likely to run into major jerks (at least for the time being)? lol

    I’m just dipping my toes in as well, but I’m glad to see others with enthusiasm. I don’t want to see my favorite communities die out just because the CEO of the site went off the deep end.

    I just joined Lemmy yesterday myself! I imagine that it’s probably going to see a bit of a spike in growth over the next week or two. lol

      We already are I believe. It’s going to take a while, but the slow organic growth is going to be helpful in the long run I believe
