Beehaw.org defederated Lemmy.world and kbin.social earlier this week over concerns about moderation, nanely inadequate tooling and inconsistent standards. If you’re seeing content from beehaw.org on either Lemmy.world or kbin.social, its content that was shared before the defederation occurred, and will stick around until it ages out or the local admins delete it. Nothing posted to Beehaw has been shared here, or local interactions here shared back to Beehaw since they defederated.
We can still interact with those posts locally here on Lemmy among ourselves, but the community over at Beehaw won’t see it.

I can see beehaw communities on kbin.social just fine.
Probably me not understanding how it works, but most lemmy.ml communities I subscribed to have this “subscribe pending” but I can still interact with them, just like you did with this thread. So I guess it’s just a display issue and we are actually subscribed to those communities?
Click it multiple times and it should change to subscribed

It’s not that your request is awaiting moderation, it’s just a server issue. Click on it again until it says subscribe and try again. If it stays at pending, just abort and try another day.
Tldr leaving it on pending will not resolve.
