Zombies, Chompies, dangerous natives… this island doesn’t want us here

Waking in our camp after our first few days surviving on the island it’s time we try to make progress again…

We set off East down the beach away from the Lizardfolk encampment.

After not too long we come up to a second, older, wreck. There’s a few scattered barrels & crates… we get to work opening them to take inventory of what we may have.

Copper Ingots… why?

“Human, you know anything 'bout smithing?” - Elshe

“No, no I don’t, Kobold.” - Erin replies.

He comments that he doesn’t think it’s the ‘normal’ metal though.

Elshe comments that it looks like decent enough copper to her.

It’s old and weathered green…

Erin asks if it isn’t suppose to be orange.

Elshe explains that it weathers with exposure to the elements but it’s not damaged.

A lizard head pokes out from the water…

Erin grabs a bar of copper…

He calls out to the lizard.

They stand… oh no they’re big.

Erin slowly puts the bar back in the box.

Lilly asks if they’re going to eat us.

The Lizard replies that he won’t, they haven’t done anything to him.

He walks out of the water carrying a whole Tuna.

Elshe comments that we’ve encountered Lizardfolk down the beach and ask if they’re with them. He replies to the negative.

Even if they were he’s not allowed to returned, he’s banished for being weird.

Erin asks if they’d like to come with us after they offer to share the tuna.

As we talk the Lizardfolk tells us what’s around… unknown further East but pirates to the West past the Lizardfolk.

We agree to share the tuna with him and then figure out which way to go.

We begin breaking down the dry segments of the wreck to make kindling to get us a fire going for cooking.

We decide to keep going East… in spite of Erin’s desire to check out the pirates.

We trek for days finding almost nothing until we come to a camp… looks strikingly like our original camp except constructed a bit better.

Elshe goes to sneak up on it to get a better look…

They fall into a pit covered by a tarp… a pitfall trap.

Elshe clambers out from some wooden slats in the wall… a hunting trap, not a dungeon trap.

Investigating the camp whomever was here hasn’t been for some time.

We find a bag with some items… rope, unmarked potions, and a cloak.

They begin modifying the cloak to small size with the dagger she’s found to replace their cloak.

Meanwhile Doot, the Lizardfolk, is investigating outside and finds a crude bow hanging from a treebranch & a quiver with 10 arrows. Additionally they found an axe.

Elshe finds some rope and fashions the dagger into a short-spear fit for a Kobold.

Lilly & Elshe carefully break down the tent and secure it to Fang’s back so that we’ll have more cloth on hand.

Sitting down to ID the potions Elshe finds one is a potion of Air Bubble and the other is Cure Critical Wounds

Session called…
