From what I understand of the Lemmy userbase, this type of humor generally just does not play here as much as it would at somewhere like Reddit.
The people who enjoyed the joke just upvote and move on. But yes, we do have a lot of folks who do not embrace obliquity.

I loved the video. It’s very obviously taking the piss but I think this has been a sore spot to many Lemmy users that the humour isn’t gonna hit.
