They cut a bit too much out of this ep. It is obvious that there are content than was made, but was cut later in production to rush the story along. This left the ep feeling disjointed, especially in the last part.

You did not misremembered it. They tried to make it difficult, got backlashed, then took a step back. All of it before Win11 was widely distributed, so some people never had to deal with it.

I feel sorry for anyone who had to sat through this event. It was the most boring and soulless presentation I have ever seen. It it the definition of “This could have just been an email”.

Honestly, the budget the show got is just too low. None of the fight scenes is even bearable. They put all there eggs in the echi stuff; but as a manga reader, I am disappointed the the story / action got no room to shine at all.

It is clear that they need to cut a lot of content in this arc. I can’t say that it is a bad decision, as this arc in the manga feels like it is dragging on forever. There are just too much happening. Nevertheless, I am curious about the opinions of those who have not read the manga.

Mesa comes as separate flatpaks which is hidden in the GUI, and is automatically install when you install a flatpak. The system can have multiple versions of the driver installed. When Steam is ready to use a newer Mesa version, it will do it automatically.

Mangohud, on the other hand, is a flatpak you need to install manually via the command line. You should follow the instruction on their Github page for that.

P.S: In case you like a GUI for things. You should install Flatseal, which provide a GUI for configuring flatpaks.

Apparently, the CAD software Ondsel is also not compatible with the mesa’s implementation; and it would just crash right after the boot.

Microsoft’s game plan seems to be:

1. Sell a cool idea, halfheartedly.
2. Abandon the idea.
3. Wait until someone else done it right.
4. Ripe them off / play catch up.

It was exactly like that for Windows on ARM.

In other words, regardless of whether you like/hate Apple, if the Vision Pro does not success, then there probably won’t be any further investment in the space from MS either.

Yeah, true… But, this case is not the best example of that, since Apple is getting punished quite serversly here. And, the fact they there was any punishment / lawsuit at all make the US looks like the fairer place to be. The Chinese big brothers would just swept it under rugs in favour of the bigger company from the get go.
