Sorry for the very late response. Most instances don’t allow such large image uploads, rimworld.gallery renders can be up to 30MB. But still, thumbnails should be shown instead of the full image

I understand your motivation not to use it now. However, I was inspired by the line “Welcome to the Minecraft community on Lemmy and Kbin” in the sidebar

I noticed that when all images are downloaded (after about 4 app crashes) all is good as everything is in cache. A solution may be too limit the amount of synchronous image downloads, somehow

No, in Connect this is in the timeline. It goes straight for the full size images. It’s the latest Google play version

Hi, something you might want to check before releasing; several current Lemmy apps are having trouble displaying lists of very large images. Either they try to load them all in one go, instead of going for the thumbnail as a preview (causing the app to crash), or they only get the preview and then don’t show the full size when opening.
