Meant to recreate this pizza from Blue Prince! Has truffle sauce, fontina cheese, portabella baby mushrooms, pepperoni (couldn’t find non-pork salami) and two fresh basil!
Not wood-fired though, my stove is but electric. And there was that one side that stuck to the peel.
It was delicious though! I will absolutely make this again.
This looks delicious!
Do you use a pizza stone or steel? Letting it heat up for a good while (like at least half an hour) at the highest temp your oven goes to helps a lot.
We have a pizza stone! I let it heat up some, but not enough perhaps. The issue was it stuck to the peel despite dusting it and everything, which is why one edge is slightly elongated. Silly pizza! Silly pizza peel.
Ah yes that’s really frustrating! Semolina flour or even cornmeal might work better for you.
I do have cornmeal! I think this time I just didn’t dust it enough. Also it was a bit heavy. But very tasty!
Tasty is the main thing!
Next time, brush the crust with olive oil. Nice pizza-ing bro.
This looks delicious!
Homemade pizza is the BEST. I wish you well on all your pizza journeys.
Thanks! Pizzas are so much fun!
Needs more sugar or oil for a good carmelization. Great job though.
Sugar? Oil? Wtf.
Pizza dough is good flour, 60-68% water, yeast and salt.
Guaranteed that several of the best pizzas you have eaten had oil and sugar, unless you’ve only ever eaten neapolitan.
Napoletan or roman from a wood fired oven in Restaurants, Napoletan from an electric pizza oven when I’m at home.
Spare a slice?
Maybe on this second batch, but the first batch was consumed with great haste!
Pep and shrooms is such a good combo; I bet it was awesome!
It was extremely delicious! I’ll make it again for sure. Maybe even tomorrow!
pretty good recreation!
Thank you!
Don’t be a coward like Simon. Eat your crusts
Do not worry, the crusts were entirely eaten! It was quite tasty crust!
